Is Newsweek Redeeming Itself or Is It Just an Aberration?

Newsweek has been at the vanguard of the liberal mainstream media. Often these media outlets compete to see who is more anti-Christian. Through the years, many of them have led with sensational [yet historically questionable] headlines regarding Christ and Christianity. These headlines range from the denial of the resurrection of Jesus to the denial of the virgin birth, all the way to the denial of Jesus’ existence.

That is why some faithful, Bible-believing, intellectual Christians have been pleasantly surprised by Newsweek’s headline in the February 13, 2012 issue, “The War on Christians.” Wow! Someone woke up and is finally beginning to see the truth.

What was even more pleasantly surprising was the writer’s absolute candor, not only in exposing the widespread persecution and killing of Christians from Nigeria to Egypt to Pakistan to Indonesia, but in exposing the deliberate closing of the eyes on the part of her fellow mainline Western media.

In this masterpiece by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, she exposed how Islamists led by Saudi Arabia and the Council on American-Islamic Relations [CAIR] “over the past decade...have been remarkably successful in persuading leading public figures and journalists in the West to think of each and every example of perceived anti-Muslim discrimination as an expression of a systematic and sinister derangement called ‘Islamophobia’ – a term that is meant to elicit the same moral disapproval as xenophobia or homophobia.”

Truth-seeking Christians have been screaming from the top of their lungs, hoping that someone would listen and examine this propaganda by CAIR as being nothing short of mind control. While examples of Islamophobia are reported repeatedly, the killing and beheading of Christians in the Muslim world brings nary a peep out of them.

Speaking of mind control, CAIR has single-handedly derailed Christian speakers from appearing in military Christian functions. From the denial of General Boykin speaking at the West Point prayer breakfast to Franklin Graham being denied a speaking opportunity at the Pentagon, CAIR now exerts great power on the Obama administration.

Newsweek’s expose, while indeed a welcome breath of fresh air in an Islamist fog choking Western media culture, only touches the tip of the iceberg of what is going on in the war of Islamists on Christians.

May it be that the truth is now beginning to seep out, and may it be that other mainstream media outlets begin to open their blind eyes and see the truth clearly.

Unfortunately relatively few are actually interested in the truth...rather they are looking for someone to tickle their ears with what they want to hear.

Pleasantly surprised with the cover, I almost purchased that magazine at the grocery checkout yesterday. Then I thought, "Nah, there HAS to be an anti-Christian spin in the article somewhere." As one who votes with my dollars, I didn't purchase the magazine. I'm glad to hear that I was wrong.

It is indeed unfortunate that most American's think with their wallets and bank accounts. They focus on the economy, jobs, etc...but they forget the most important thing of all, The Holy Triune. God is in charge~! They forfeit their eternal thoughts to this worldly life. We'll always have Christian persecution as long as one Islamic breathes. While I know that while on this earth we need to give the economy and jobs (money) mindful thought in order to live, we do need to live out our faith in God every day. Newsweek is still just another rag as far as I'm concerned. One story that stands up for Christians isn't impressive to me however, it's nice to think at least one writer might care. Thank you Dr. Youssef for Leading Our Way to really know and understand the uncompromising truth. God is good, God will prevail and His sheep will prevail too.

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I have stopped reading my national press or watching TV. I rely on the Agencies I trust to bring to my attention the stuff that matters. It leads to a loads more time to watch and pray. I have believed since 1989 that Islam is the refiner to refine the Church of Jesus Christ.
Thank God that, when I have contact with Muslim work colleagues, He has given me love for them that is strong and overcoming. Angela UK

Newsweek, the liberal media and there leader, Barak Obama want this election to be a referendum on America and Christ. They want to officially defeat Christianity here in US. And following the election will ram His wrath on the American Christian and Jew. Only Devine Intervention can slow this locomotive , that is roaring down the tracks.

Divine intervention? That's too good for Obama and his cronies. Give me five minutes in an 8'x8' room with a locked door. You can bet he won't be doing his famous crotch salute any more.

Given the history of Newsweek magazine and without personally knowing the author, one naturally wonders regarding the truth behind Newsweek's publication of such an article. Having no faith in Newsweek's 'purity of conscience', I personally vote for the 'abberration' theory (even while hoping I'm wrong). Is the author a Christian who wants the truth published in spite of who she works for and will now be fired? Were sales badly sagging, editors deciding to give this angle a shot for stirring controversy and arousing new interest? Who really knows but God, hoping everyone's underlying motives were pure (although unable to fully believe that). That said, I hope the information helps somebody somewhere, especially the opening of blind eyes as stated by Dr. Youssef, God able to use the mouth of a donkey if necessary.

Can someone offer some knowledge on these questions for me please?

1 - What is going on with Israel and Iran?

2. - Are they really mercilessly killing people in Syria? What impact, if any, could all of this have on Israel?

I do not know of where else to ask this except for on a place where it seems many brother and sisters in Christ Jesus come to meet. Thanks!

Dr. Youscef there is a convert in Iran whose first name is Youscef/

He is scheduled to be beheaded.

Cann't someone stopped this.?

Can we not ask for him to be sent to America?

Iran is foolish as someone can always change their mind but they can not when they are dead.
